Storytimes

Stories in the Library

Our winter session begins the week of January 4 and runs through the week of March 15. Days and times are listed below.

  • Ages 1 ½–2 ½:
    Come Friday mornings at 9:30 OR 10:30.
  • Ages 2 ½–3 ½:
    Come Mondays at 10:30, Tuesdays at 9:30, OR Thursdays at 10:30.
  • Ages 3 ½–5:
    Come Tuesdays at 10:30, Tuesdays at 2:00, OR Wednesdays at 10:30.
  • Ages 6–18 Months (January 20–March 3 only)
    Come Wednesdays at 9:30.

TumbleBooks: eBooks for Kids

Art by Mark Howard: Three pigs reading Each program meets in the Youth Program Room and lasts 25–30 minutes. Participants enjoy songs and activities, in addition to stories. This is a great opportunity for young children to hear good stories, learn, and have fun.

Note: Advance registration is not necessary. Due to space limitations, programs are for Wilmette and Kenilworth residents only. Children attending our storytime for 1 ½–2 ½ year olds and lapsit storytime for ages 6–18 months must be accompanied by an adult.

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day
Hear an Irish folktale about the giant Finn M'Coul and then make a picture of a rainbow and a pot of gold. Green cookies will be served! For ages 6 and older. In the Youth Program Room.
