"Olive Kitteridge," by Elizabeth Strout
The Wilmette Public Library is proud to announce that Olive Kitteridge, the Pulitzer Prize winning novel by New York Times best-selling author Elizabeth Strout, is the selection for our 2010 "One Book, Every Body Reads" program.
Ms. Strout will speak about her book in Wilmette on May 16. As in previous years, the library will present a series of programs related to the book. Mark your calendars for the author's visit, and watch for more information about this spring’s "One Book, Everybody Reads" in the library and on this website.
Olive Kitteridge is a collection of 13 short stories set in small-town Maine. Through Ms. Strout's masterful writing, the stories are bound together by the larger-than-life, unforgettable title character, Olive Kitteridge.
We hope you'll join us and take part in the library's fifth annual "One Book, Everybody Reads," our community's largest reading and discussion program.
