Join a summer reading club, and enjoy good books, prizes, and a celebration in August!
Kids' Clubs
Sign-ups begin in the Youth Department on Tuesday, May 28, and continue until the clubs end. You can report on your reading from Monday, June 10, through Sunday, August 4.
- Have Book—Will Travel!: Independent readers up to 9th grade, read at least 8 books for a free book. Click here if you want to report a book online .
- Read-to-Me Club: Prereaders, listen to at least 25 books for a free book.
Adult & Teen Club
Starting Tuesday, May 28, pick up your "Passport to Reading" packet at the Recent Arrivals desk. Turn in your completed reading log by Sunday, August 4, for a gift card to a local restaurant and to be entered in a drawing for a grand prize.
Please note: All clubs are open to Wilmette and Kenilworth residents and to nonresidents who attend Wilmette and Kenilworth schools. Prizes are funded through the generosity of the Friends of the Wilmette Library.
Reading Club Celebration
Everyone is invited to our Reading Club Celebration on Tuesday, August 6, 6:00–8:00. The celebration will feature ice cream and a Hawaiian hula show with Holly Nagel at 6:15 and 7:15.
Prizes and hula performance are funded by the Friends of the Wilmette Public Library.
