Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Library Trustees of the Wilmette Public Library for the Exterior Repairs Work at the Wilmette Public Library, 1242 Wilmette Avenue, Wilmette, IL 60091. Sealed bids will be received on or before 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at the Administrative Office of the Wilmette Public Library, 1242 Wilmette Avenue, Wilmette, Illinois 60091. Bids received after that time will not be considered. All bids shall be submitted on or before the specified closing time in an opaque sealed envelope marked "Wilmette Public Library, Exterior Repairs Project -, Bid Package #__(as per below)__" on the outside.
The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud via Zoom digital conference at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. Bids shall be submitted in the form and manner contained in the Bidding Requirements.
The work consists of the following Bid Packages:
BP-04A – Masonry Restoration Work
BP-07A – Roofing Work
Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a cashier's check in the amount of 10% of the total bid, made payable to Wilmette Public Library, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will promptly execute a satisfactory contract, will furnish a satisfactory performance bond and payment bond and proceed with the work. Upon failure to do so, the bidder shall forfeit the amount deposited as liquidated damages and no mistakes or errors on the part of the bidder shall excuse the bidder or entitle the bidder to a return of the aforementioned amount.
No bid will be considered unless the bidder shall furnish evidence satisfactory to the Board of Library Trustees that the bidder has the necessary facilities, abilities, experience, equipment, financial and physical resources available to fulfill the conditions of the Contract and execute the work, should the Contract be awarded such bidder.
Bidders will examine the Bid Documents, the existing conditions and location in which said work is to be done, and judge for themselves all the circumstances and surrounding conditions affecting the cost and nature of the work. All bids will be presumed to be based on such examination, familiarity and judgment.
The successful bidder shall be required to provide a Performance Bond and a Material and Labor Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Amount, as well as liability and property insurance as required within the Bidding Documents before commencing work. The successful bidder shall enter into a formal contract based on the conditions and requirements in the Bidding Documents which will be incorporated into the contract.
Not less than the prevailing wage shall be paid for labor on the work to be done as required by law.
The successful bidder will be required to comply with the provisions of all State of Illinois and federal laws concerning public works projects as well as the State of Illinois Human Rights Act and the regulations of the Illinois Human Rights Commission.
The Board of Library Trustees reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any technicalities and irregularities in the bidding and to hold the bid proposals for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of opening set forth above.

Wilmette Public Library District is requesting written proposals for conducting the financial audit of its financial statement for the fiscal years ending June 30, 2020-21, 2021-22, and 2022-23, with the options of 2023-24 and 2024-2025. Certified Public Accounting firms are invited to respond to the enclosed Request for Proposal (RFP).
Wilmette Public Library District serves Wilmette and Kenilworth, in north suburban Cook County. Operating on an annual budget of $5.8 million (fiscal year 2020-2021), the Library receives the majority of its funding in the form of property taxes from Cook County. Wilmette Public Library District operates on a Modified Cash basis for its yearly financial reporting, and uses Quickbooks for the recording of financial entry and the generation of reports.

Wilmette Public Library is seeking proposals for a turnkey Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) automation system consisting of hardware, software, shipping, installation, training, project management, ongoing maintenance, and enhancements. The RFID system, with an optional Automated Materials Handling (AMH) system, will work in conjunction with the Library’s existing Integrated Library System (ILS), Polaris, through our consortium, Cooperative Computer Services (CCS). A description of the project scope, equipment, and deliverables is outlined in the following documentation.
Sealed proposals, clearly labeled “WILMETTE LIBRARY RFID PROPOSAL”, will be received weekdays between 10:00am and 6:00pm CDT in the Administrative Offices of Wilmette Public Library, 1242 Wilmette Avenue, Wilmette, IL 60091, until Wednesday, September 30, at 2:00pm CDT. Proposals received after 2:00pm CDT on that day will not be accepted.

Proposals will be evaluated by the Director and members of the Library’s Leadership Team. The selected proposal will be presented to the Board of Library Trustees at their Tuesday, October 20, 2020 board meeting. All proposals will be open for acceptance for a period of 60 days from deadline for receipt of quotes, and may not be revoked or withdrawn during that period. The library reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals, to waive technicalities, and to accept or reject any items of any proposal.
