Author Talks

The Library connects readers to books—and their writers—with these great series.

One Book, Everyone Reads

Each year, the library hosts a community-wide reading and programming series on a selected book. We invite you to read the book, take part in concerts, lectures, and book discussions, and meet the author in a culminating event. OBER is a highlight of the library’s programming each year, and we invite you to take part. The next One Book, Everyone Reads event will be announced in winter 2021.

Meet the Author Events

What’s better than reading a great book? Meeting the author who wrote it! The Library brings in best-selling authors as part of the Meet the Author series. Previous speakers in this series include Susan Orlean, Abdi Nor Iftin, Anthony Doerr, Nathan Hill, Ron Suskind, and Lee Child.

The next Meet the Author Event will feature author Arshay Cooper, discussing his moving memoir A Most Beautiful Thing. Learn more about the book and register for the event on our Meet the Author webpage.
