    Learn about wills, trusts, powers of attorney, probate and guardianship. Take the first steps to create or update a plan that is appropriate for you. Attorney Jacob K. Ehrensaft will explain how to ensure your final wishes can be protected. This program will discuss how to select the correct person to make healthcare and financial decisions on your behalf when you cannot. The importance of updating existing documents to reflect changes in the law and personal circumstances will also be reviewed.

    Join The Wilmette Library and The Family Service Center (FSC) for a 6-week evening series of "Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Techniques for Retraining Your Brain: with Professor Jason M. Satterfield, Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. Built on a solid foundation of neurological and behavioral research, CBT is an approach almost anyone can use for promoting greater mental health and improving quality of life. This course will utilize videos featuring Dr. Satterfield and group discussion facilitated by FSC staff. You will learn practical tools to evaluate your own needs and to begin a tailored approach towards reaching your personal goals. Registration is preferred by calling the library at 847-256-5025.

    Design and cut Halloween decorations for your windows or walls. Using our vinyl cutter and special software, you'll make cobwebs, jack o'lanterns, or ghosts to stick wherever scaring is required. Amanda Compton LoPresti sings, dances, and performs with many Chicago area, regional, and international companies including the Chicago Symphony Chorus, Drury Lane Theatre, Theatre at the Center, Light Opera Works, The Glimmerglass Festival Hawaii Opera Theatre, Opera National de Bordeaux, and Theatre du Capitole-Toulouse.

    Attend an informal, non-judgmental forum to discuss ADHD. Learn and share strategies and resources, or come just to listen. The group's facilitator, Wilmette resident Dale Davison, holds a Master's degree in special education; she is a board certified ADHD coach and consultant.
