The primary election is just around the corner and it's time to get the whole family excited about civic engagement!
Members of the League of Women Voters Wilmette will be at the library on February 10, 2026 from 4-6pm to assist with registering people to vote. Stop by the table in the Vestibule to register and learn about voter resources.
Kids can learn about the election process by voting for their favorite snack. Check out fun books about voting and talk with a librarian about getting kids excited about civic engagement.
Did you know? 17 year-olds who will be 18 by or before the general election are eligible to vote in the Primary Election on March 17, 2026!
If you want to register, you'll need to:
- Be a US citizen on the day of registration.
- Be 18 years old on or before the next General Election on November 3, 2026.
- Reside at their address at least 30 days prior to election day.
- Bring 2 pieces of identification.
