Federal and State Tax Information
In 2022, you will file taxes for the 2021 calendar year. Most taxpayers will file either Form 1040 or Form 1040-SR (for seniors), and depending on your situation, you may have to complete Schedule 1, Schedule 2 and/or Schedule 3 in the event that your received unemployment benefits, are self-employed, or are seeking an education or foreign tax credit. All forms are included in the printed packets available at the library while supplies last.
While we've listed and linked to PDF forms for your convenience, we recommend you go straight to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) or Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR) pages and download directly from there to ensure you are receiving the most current forms and their corresponding instructions.
