Resources for Book Clubs

Start Date

Last spring, I joined a virtual book club which reads mostly contemporary and historical fiction. My favorite book we’ve read so far is Daughter in Exile by Bisi Adjapon. The story follows 21-year-old Lola, a university graduate and writer who leaves her family and comfortable life in Senegal behind to move to the U.S. Whether you want to join a book group or start your own, the library has resources to support your goal:

Book Club Hub

Is it your turn to pick out a book for your book club? Visit the Book Club Hub to find sets of books popular with book group discussions. You can also check out recent editions of Readers Group Choices, which contain suggested books for book clubs and conversation starters. Find new additions to the Book Club Hub here. Librarians can help you choose a title for your group and place holds on books from other libraries via interlibrary loan.

Book Groups at the Library

Throughout the month, librarians lead book discussions exploring different genres and interests. You can join a book group at any time! Check out our event calendar to find upcoming dates.
