National Inventors Month
Maybe it’s because we’re indoors so much during winter, but historically, February is a month for invention. It’s a month when lots of inventions were born, such as paper money, rubber boots, and the first personalized, interactive storybook...Lots of inventors were born in February, too, including Charles Darwin, who invented the theory of natural selection, and Alessandro Volta, who invented the battery.
In fact, February 11 is National Inventors Day in honor of inventors and inventions great and small. Interested in how they did it? Check out these books about inventors and the things they created.
