Ready to level up? Join a Summer Reading Club and press start on your best summer yet! We've got an exciting lineup of gaming programs planned and fun reading adventures for kids, teens, and adults. All Summer Reading Club finishers will receive a free book of their choosing!
Reporting for Summer Reading begins on June 1. Clubs run through August 15.
Read or listen to four books of your choice. Adult summer reading is open to all; one entry per reader. Turn in your completed form to the Adult Services desk by Friday, August 15 to pick out a prize book!
Adult reading logs will be available on June 1.
Level Up with the Library of Things
Borrow gaming systems, giant Jenga, a pickleball set, Virtual Reality headset, and much more from the Library of Things.
Report your reading by picking up a log at the Adult Services desk on the First Floor. You’ll get a new, hardcover YA book for finishing!
Level 1: Track 20 hours of reading on your reading log.
Level 2: Track 10 hours of reading plus 1 in-person or virtual program.
For both levels, turn in your completed log to the Adult Services desk by Friday, August 15 to receive a free book.
Bonus: Complete a second log for another free book!
Power-up in the Teen Room
Drop in to the Teen Room to play Nintendo Switch or a board game! See a librarian at the Technology desk to unlock the game cabinet and check out controllers. Find the full list of available games here.
Children can earn a free book just for reading this summer! All they need to do is complete any 20 activities on their reading log. To get started, pick up a reading log at the library or print one at home.
Read for as many minutes as you like, and all kinds of reading count: books, ebooks, comics, magazines, audiobooks, and books read aloud by a grown-up!
Halfway: After completing 10 activities, visit the Summer Reading Club Booth to choose a sticker and have your picture taken for our bulletin board.
To Finish: When you’ve completed 20 days of reading and activities on your log, visit us again and pick out your free book!
Library Super User: You can complete up to two reading logs to earn two books before our clubs wrap up on Friday, August 15.
